First computers differed from today's ones. They were so huge that occupied whole rooms or buildings being relatively slow and consumed high power. Therefore they were slower than modern simple calculators or personal computers. The first computers consist of lamps. They can't perform many complex operations simultaneously. Gathering data has never been more simple than now.
Computer consists of a processing unit the Central Processing Unit /CPU/ and a form of memory. There are many different language that are being used to program a computer. Some of the language are BASIC, COBOL, C, C++, JAVA etc.
Computer technology can be used to collect information about the different classes and groups of the people in the country. Today you can keep in touch with all your friends around the world. Currently, Facebook is the most popular social networking website on the internet. In our present life everything is connected with computers technology. We use computers at home, school, office, banks, hospitals, wordplace and more many place. We can use it for any big or small mathematical calculations very accurately. It is used to forecast the information about weather, in printing books, news papers, diagnosing diseases etc. It is used to make online railway reservations, ticket booking, hotel or restaurant booking from any place all over the world.
Nowadays, we cannot imagine our life without computers and more information technology.
